In regards to light output, the Hot-Line LED Trailer Backup Light part # 328-003-6017W will physically put out more light than the reverse light portion of the GloLight LED Combination Trailer Tail Light part # STL161RLB as it has twice as many diodes (12 vs 6). The Optronics Transit LED Backup Light, part # BUL90CB would be a brighter light than the Optronics Sealed, Oval LED Trailer Utility Light, part # BUL78CB. It would work great for a lighting up the area behind your boat trailer for loading a boat in the dark.

I spoke with my contact at Optronics and they said the trailer lights are measured in candela output. Candela output is the luminous intensity of the light, or candle power. For comparison they said the candela output on a 100 watt incandescent light bulb in your home is 100 cd.
They said the Optronics Sealed, 6-1/2 Inch Oval LED Trailer Light, 10 Super LEDs, part # STL72RB, uses 10 Super LEDs and has a candela output of 12 cd on the tail lights and 221 cd on the stop and turn lights.

There is not an advantage to having tail lights that have a clear lens over a tail light that has a red lens, both will function well and provide bright enough tail light functions. It is a cosmetic preference, some people prefer the look of one over the other, so they are both available.
You will need to check with your local laws and regulations concerning trailer tail lights, in some areas it may be illegal to use tail lights with clear lenses such as the Optronics Trailer Light # STL89RCB.

Those part numbers are for trailer clearance lights, and the main difference between 1a-v-1240R and 1a-v-1260r is that the 1240R is a led light, and the 1260r is a incandescent light. Both lights have red lenses and are 3 7/8 inches long, by 1 1/4 inch wide.

The difference between the LED Left Hand Trailer Light, # STL9RB, and the Trailer Light Kit, # TLL9RK, is the fact that one is an individual light and the other is the light set with license plate bracket.

That's a good question, but different tail lights are needed for the driver and passenger side for trailers, including the Peterson lights you asked about.
The reason they are marked as "Driver Side" and "Passenger Side" is because the drivers side light has a bulb underneath which illuminates the license plate, as shown in the accompanying photo. So the lights you need are:

A trailer that is over 80 inches wide is required by DOT regulations to have rear clearance lights. An over 80 inch taillight kit, like part # TL16RK, will have the side clearance light built into it. An under 80 inch taillight does not have the clearance light built in and an additional red, rear side marker light would be required if you used an under 80 inch rated light on a trailer that is over 80 inches wide.

Both the Optronics Trailer Lights, part # STL16RB, and part # STL26RB are able to go under water.
The definition of waterproof means that the unit will not let water in after being under water for a certain period. Since both lights are LED lights, the diodes are in a sealed unit of their own, which water cannot enter. The Optronics Light # STL16RB is labeled submersible, because it has a replaceable lens, but the diodes are sealed.

The Opti-Brite LED Interior Light part # ILL08COB and part # ILL10CCB are idenical lights for the exception of the number of diodes they contain. The light ending in "COB" contains 8 diodes whereas the light ending in "CCB" has 10 diodes. Therefore, the 10 diode light will produce more light. The best one for you will depend on how bright you want the trailer and how many you will be installing.

Lights with a PC rating like the Optronics Incandescent Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light # MC65RB and PC2 rated lights are both combination lights. There would be a noticeable difference if you had both the Aero Pro light # STL37RB and the Glolight, # STL117RB right next to each other. You would notice that the Glolight seams to actually sort of glow rather than just light up. This is due to the top and bottom bars that light up solid.

The two kits are both made by Optronics, and there is absolutely no difference between the lights in the kit with the 25-foot harness, # TLL16RK, and the kit without it, # TLL160RK.

I spoke with my contact at Optronics and was informed that the Lumen Difference between the # STL22RB and the # STL72RB LED tail lights is not tested by Optronics.

Since Optronics does not share information such as lumens, determining the brightness can be difficult to determine. Although not always the case, typically more diodes indicates that the light will be brighter.

It sounds like you are referring to the Optronics Right Hand Trailer Light # ST8RB and the Left Hand # ST9RB. The only difference between the two assemblies is that the Left Hand/Driver's Side unit features an additional license plate light to illuminate the trailer's license plate.

The Peterson Sealed, Trailer License Plate Light, Ear Mount, # M439K, comes with a mounting bracket. I could not bring up the M439. But according to the manufacturer M439 does not come with a mounting bracket.
